Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. You will apply the nursing process from admission to discharge, assess patients, plan and coordinate care, and supervise nursing staff on the unit.

The position requires Massachusetts nursing licensure and BLS; ACLS may be required depending on unit. A signing bonus may be available and is determined during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.
• ACLS certification current in addition to unit certifications and competencies.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to patient age.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plan including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others per job description and competency.
