Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role requires Massachusetts nursing licensure and BLS, ACLS as applicable, and BSN preferred.

You will contribute to discharge planning, documentation, and collaborative care with the healthcare team. The position is full-time with day shifts and a commitment to quality care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Assists in education and development of staff.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality improvement daily operations.
