Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for the North Valleys ER, a 24/7 pediatric to geriatric ED designed for fast-track triage and comprehensive imaging and lab services. You will provide professional nursing care, coordinate with ED physicians, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with a focus on safe, efficient throughput.

Per diem schedule offers flexibility; candidates should hold NV RN license, EMS experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR.
• Two to three years critical Care Exp OR.
• Extensive EMS background experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ED and evaluate outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across all ages.
• Apply triage to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Educate patients/families on pain management.
