Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a per diem role at our North Valleys ER, an extension of NNMC. The ED operates 24/7 serving patients from pediatrics to seniors, with fast-track rooms and advanced imaging.

You will provide professional nursing care, coordinate with ED physicians, and prioritize care as conditions change. Responsibilities include direct patient care, head-to-toe assessments, triage, hemodynamic monitoring, and pain management education for patients

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years of emergency department experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within required timelines.
• Extensive EMS background experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes, consulting with specialists as needed.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments for pediatric to geriatric patients and reassess per policy.
• Utilize triage to ensure timely, appropriate care and assign triage categories.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and treatment plans.
