Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a per diem position at North Valleys, Nevada. The role provides professional nursing care in the Emergency Department, coordinating with physicians and teams to deliver timely, high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a NV RN license, have ED experience, and be able to triage effectively, monitor patients, and educate families. Flexible scheduling and per diem benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License
• Two to three years exp in the emergency department preferred OR
• Two to three years critical Care Exp OR
• extensive EMS background experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate on pain management.
