Job summary

Universal Health Services' North Valleys ER in Reno, NV operates 24/7 serving all ages with advanced imaging and lab capabilities. The RN will provide professional emergency care, coordinate with ED physicians, and ensure timely patient flow through the department.

Per diem opportunity offering flexible scheduling, with responsibilities including triage, monitoring, and comprehensive nursing care—tailored to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years' experience in the emergency department preferred or critical care experience.
• Extensive EMS background experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ED and evaluates outcomes.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across all age groups.
• Uses triage process to assign appropriate priority for care.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results.
• Manages and educates pain management for patients and families.
