Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for per diem shifts. You will provide direct patient care across the ED, collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure timely treatment and safe patient flow.

The role requires current Nevada nursing license, ACLS and BLS, plus PALS within six months, with at least 2.5 years of ER experience. You must be able to float to all units as needed and communicate changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license.
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• PALS certification within six months of employment.
• ER experience: at least 2.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes, adjusting care as needed.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across all ages and reassesses per policy.
• Uses triage to ensure timely care and accurately assigns triage categories.
• Educates patient and family on pain management and reassesses pain.
