Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Pediatrics in Worcester. The role delivers direct patient care using the nursing process, with shifts 4-12 hour blocks per month and a potential signing bonus.

Applicants must have MA nursing licensure, BLS, ACLS; BSN preferred. Scheduling includes 7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am with weekend requirements and per diem terms.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS certification current or active.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents care and educates patient/family as part of care planning.
