Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a per diem, on-site basis. The role involves planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing standards. Availability for 12-hour shifts and weekends is expected.

Required: Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS; ACLS and/or PALS in specified units. BSN preferred; unionized environment with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Required MA nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required for every RN.
• ACLS certification required in select areas (ED, ICU, etc.).
• PALS certification required in select areas (ED, PACU).
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments per standards.
• Develop and coordinate care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
