Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Night Shift ER support technician to deliver hands-on patient care and clinical assistance in a 16-bed small-format hospital setting, working 7pm–7am. You will handle vital signs, specimen collection, basic lab tasks, wound care, and patient safety, while maintaining privacy and strict infection control.

The role requires ER/medical support experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable, and EMT-P/EMT-B or CNA credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets.
• Current PALS certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy and EKG initiation preferred.
• English proficiency for written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data; take vital signs and collect samples.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policies and regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and care as directed by the charge nurse.
• Provide superficial wound care and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Maintain aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
