Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 7p-7a schedule. The role applies the nursing process from admission to discharge, with patient assessments, plan of care, and family education.

MA RN licensure and BLS are required; ACLS preferred. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for external hires, with union membership through MNA. Schedule includes every third weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS required for every RN; ACLS preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care.
• Delegates to others per competency and job description.
• Documents patient care per procedure.
• Develops and documents Education Plan for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
• Administers medications and operates equipment according to policy.
