Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on nights. This part-time role covers 24 hours weekly with 11pm–7am shifts, every other weekend and holiday. You will use the nursing process from admission to discharge to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED.

A current MA RN license, BLS, and BSN (preferred) are required or highly desired. A $6,000 sign-on bonus may be available for external hires; pay is commensurate with

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• BSN is highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to protocol.
• Develops and coordinates care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises and evaluates nursing care within the unit.
• Documents care and supports education for patient and family.
