Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process from admission through discharge. You will assess patients, develop care plans, document care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Mandatory Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS; ACLS preferred. A $6,000 signing bonus is available for external hires, with terms discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS is current.
• BSN degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Conduct patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care including discharge planning.
• Direct and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Document care according to procedures.
• Support education for patients and families.
