Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department. This full-time, exempt role provides 24/7 accountability for a defined ED unit, guiding nursing care and staff performance to align with our mission and patient safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (MSN preferred), an RN license in Texas, and certifications including BCLS, ENPC, PALS and TNCC. Prior ER management experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 1 year of start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• RN license in Texas or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for a defined patient care area 24/7 and ensuring goal-directed nursing care.
• Fosters an evidence-based practice environment for autonomous nursing practice.
• Leads staffing, clinical operations and patient safety initiatives in the ED.
