Job summary

Surgery Partners is hiring an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in McKinney, TX to deliver direct and indirect patient care for acute, urgent, and emergent conditions. The role requires a Texas RN license, ADN and 3+ years in ER nursing, with BSN preferred.

You will triage with ESI, administer therapies, monitor responses, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe, evidence-based care in a high-volume ED setting.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of three years ER nursing in an acute care setting.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS within orientation period.
• TNCC and ENPC preferred; NIH Stroke Scale cert within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and triage in the Emergency Department.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans with the team.
• Administer meds, blood products, IV therapies, and treatments safely.
• Monitor patient response and communicate changes to providers promptly.
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to move patients efficiently.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR.
