Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department in Avon, OH. This full-time, night-shift role supports RNs and staff to deliver exceptional patient care and leads nursing programs for the unit.

The role requires a BSN, 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience, and current RN licensure. It also includes supervising staff, coordinating admissions, and participating in policy development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
• Active RN license in the state.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS within 1 year, PALS within 1 year, TNCC or ENPC within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing staff.
• Supervise admissions, assess patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Lead planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs for the unit.
• Assist with policies and procedures for efficient health service delivery.
• Serve as liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care in the unit.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new caregivers.
