The New Grad RN Resident in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital provides comprehensive emergency care while participating in a one-year accredited Nurse Residency program.

This role is ideal for new graduates looking to enhance their nursing skills in a supportive environment. It is a full-time, night-shift position based in Avon, OH, with a dedicated residency core curriculum and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN) required.
• New grad or less than one year of RN work experience required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certification required upon hire or within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when necessary.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
