Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
• Active RN license in the state.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS within 1 year, PALS within 1 year, TNCC or ENPC within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing staff.
• Supervise admissions, assess patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.
• Lead planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs for the unit.
• Assist with policies and procedures for efficient health service delivery.
• Serve as liaison between the manager, caregivers, and other areas.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care in the unit.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Assist in orienting new caregivers.

What You'll Do

• Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.
• Supervise admissions, conduct assessments of patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress.

Requirements

Education

Experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 24 months of hire
