Job summary
HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast-paced environment. In collaboration with medical providers, you will assess pain, perform procedures, educate patients and families, and advocate for outcomes that support the department's performance and the organization’s mission.
Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS within specified timelines, with an Associate Degree and RN
Qualifications
- RN licensure required.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications within specified timelines.
- Associate Degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days.
- PALS certification within 90 days of start date.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
- Perform procedures and document care in the medical record promptly.
- Respond to patient requests promptly and anticipate needs.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, and follow-up.
- Guide patients on follow-up measures and healthy lifestyle changes.
