Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room RN to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER. You will collaborate with medical providers and care teams to support outcomes and the future of nursing.

The RN will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, respond to patient needs, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care. Critical certifications must be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) license or eligibility required.
• Emergency Room experience required.
• ACLS within 90 days of start date; BLS within 30 days; Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers; document care promptly.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and provide proactive follow-up.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and side effects; ensure understanding.
• Educate on non-medical follow-up measures, healthy lifestyle, and self-management.
