Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Room to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The RN will collaborate with providers and care teams, ensuring timely documentation and proactive patient advocacy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include pain management, procedures, and education for patients and families, with a focus on safe, compassionate care and adherence to standards of practice across the department.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN Registered Nurse licensed in the state.
• Associate Degree held.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after intervention.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider and document care promptly in medical records.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and provide exceptional care while anticipating needs.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications and side effects, translating complex terms as needed.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures, lifestyle changes, and self-management support.
