Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a skilled RN for the Emergency Room to coordinate and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to ensure compassionate, evidence-based practice across shifts.

You will promote best outcomes by teaching patients and families, documenting care accurately, and adapting to the evolving needs of an acute care environment. A Florida RN license is required; NICU/PEDS exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• TNCC required within 1 year.
• ACLS Instructor or Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months.
• PALS certification within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Document administration of care in medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up steps.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
