Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Florida is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care on the unit during the shift. You will lead care coordination, mentor staff, and uphold policies to drive excellent outcomes.

RN license and ER experience are required; ACLS, BLS, NCI, and PALS are expected within specified timelines. You will assist with staffing, scheduling, and equipment management while supporting a patient-first philosophy and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required.
• Emergency Room experience is required.
• Charge Nurse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to foster teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies including employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting and training staff, and handles performance actions when needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
