Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. The RN collaborates with physicians and care teams to assess patient needs, perform procedures, and document care accurately in the medical record.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license and a degree (BSN preferred). Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, TNCC/PALS should be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in nursing (or equivalent).
• ACLS, BLS, TNCC/PALS or equivalent certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Assesses pain and promotes effective pain management with reassessments.
• Documents care in the patient medical record accurately and timely.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Educates patients/families about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up.
