Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established nursing models and organizational values.

The role requires strong assessment, teaching, and advocacy for patients and families, with focus on timely interventions, documentation, and education for ongoing care and wellness.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 60 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• PALS or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other orders and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Prepare patients and families for self-management and lifestyle changes.
