Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced Emergency Nurse to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER. The role emphasizes age-specific and specialty nursing care, documentation, and adherence to physician orders in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires an RN license in Pennsylvania, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred. Act 33/73 clearances must be completed before start date where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or equivalent full-time RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English for written and oral communication.
• Act 33 and Act 73 clearances in PA within last 5 years or before start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-appropriate nursing care.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and physiological status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect lab samples and perform tests per policy and procedures.
• Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures and assist others as needed.
