Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced ER nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room. You will deliver age-appropriate nursing care, document thoroughly, and support safe patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred), current RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with TNCC preferred. English fluency and compliance with policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN ER or equivalent experience, required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required; TNCC preferred.
• Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
• Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide age-appropriate nursing care using advanced clinical skills.
• Maintain accurate, concise medical records documentation.
• Observe and record patient signs, symptoms, and status.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect lab samples and perform tests per policy and CLIA.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures in the ER.
• Comply with infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers.
