Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse in New Freedom, PA to provide age-appropriate care, plan and direct patient care, and ensure high-quality nursing services in a fast-paced ER. The role emphasizes documentation, adhering to protocols, and collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualified candidates hold an active PA RN license, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS; ENPC may substitute for PALS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania RN license without sanctions.
• Minimum 2+ years RN ER experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency required; good communication skills.
• Pennsylvania Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed within 5 years or before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document accurately in medical records; ensure legibility.
• Monitor and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and infection-control procedures.
• Prepare equipment for procedures and assist as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
