Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform the primary ER nursing duties: assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care, with emphasis on timely, age-appropriate treatment. You will document accurately, observe and record vital signs, follow physician orders, collect specimens, and ensure privacy and infection control standards are met.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), active RN license, 2+ years ER experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, ENPC substitution for PALS

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in state; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document accurately and legibly in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Follow physician orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Collect lab specimens and perform testing per policy and regulations.
• Maintain patient privacy and infection control standards.
