Job summary

Emerus, the leader in small-format hospitals, seeks an ER nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room. You will work with a team to ensure standards of care, privacy, and timely interventions, while aligning with hospital policies and state regulations.

Ideally you have 2+ years in ER, an active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certs; BSN is preferred. This role supports a fast-paced environment with emphasis on patient-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or equivalent experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or Red Cross; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in written and spoken.
• Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-appropriate nursing care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and physiological status.
• Follow physician orders for nursing care.
• Collect specimens and perform lab testing per policy.
• Maintain infection control and patient confidentiality.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for ER procedures.
