Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking registered nurses to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes delivering care according to the nursing process, conducting assessments, planning discharges, and coordinating teams across units.

A Massachusetts nursing license is required or will be required per position, with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as specified by unit needs. Applicants should have a BSN preferred and be prepared for a schedule including evening

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Experience/education may be substituted with equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and uses quality improvement in daily operations.
