Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a registered nurse for the Emergency Room. You will plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process, from admission to discharge, with care individualized to the patient population.

The position requires MA RN licensure, current BLS, and CSC; BSN preferred. You will work 7p-7:30a on a 36-hour schedule, in a 12-hour evening shift, within the ER team and participate in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS if current.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess patients and develop care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct and evaluate nursing care within the unit; document care.
• Administer medications and assist physicians with procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement and governance activities.

Education

Massachusetts Nursing licensure (RN)

BLS certification

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
