Job summary

Milford Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide direct patient care during the evening shift. The role requires applying the nursing process from admission to discharge and coordinating care with the care team in a fast-paced ED setting.

Current Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS, and, where applicable, ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.
• PALS certification required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.
• NRP Advanced Provider required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and manage direct patient care per the nursing process.
• Perform patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care in the unit.
• Delegate appropriately to others per job description and competency level.
