Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Room to provide direct patient care during night shifts. The role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with physicians and team members to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The position requires MA RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, BLS, and ACLS as applicable. Night shift hours are 7p-7a with a 12.5-hour shift, and a potential signing bonus may be offered.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other health care providers.
