Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Milford, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department, using the nursing process from admission to discharge.

The role requires active Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within specified timeframes; BSN is preferred. ER RN experience is highly valued, with evening 8-hour shifts and a 24-hour schedule. Signing bonus may be available; apply via [e-mail].

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS through AHA or ARC is required for every RN within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.
• PALS required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.
• NRP Advanced Provider required in select areas within 6 months or first scheduled course offering.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
