Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. You will apply the nursing process from admission to discharge, assess patient needs, and coordinate discharge planning to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires current Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and unit-specific certifications; ACLS may be required depending on unit. BSN is preferred, with strong nursing knowledge and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience/skills: Thorough knowledge of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develop and coordinate individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegate appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
