Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA, is hiring registered nurses to provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. You will assess patients, develop and coordinate care plans, supervise care, and delegate tasks in accordance with competencies.

Required: MA nursing licensure, BLS; ACLS as applicable. BSN preferred. This is a full-time, evening shift with 40-hour weeks and a commitment to our standards of respect and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS must be current if not, per unit requirements.
• BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
