Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Coordinator for the Freestanding ER in Apopka, FL. In this CNC role you will lead nursing operations, coordinate patient flow, and work with a management team to ensure high-quality care and an outstanding patient experience.

You will oversee admission/discharge processes, staff scheduling, and quality improvement initiatives while supporting a patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required.
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• 1+ years experience as RN in acute care environment preferred.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• TNCC required within 6 months.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months.
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds and staff rounding.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting and training staff and handles performance actions when needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and assists with supplies and equipment management.
