Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville seeks a Charge Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the Emergency Room to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all unit functions during night shifts. The CNC collaborates with the management team to direct nursing care and support staff performance, while upholding policy and patient safety.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, active RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and ER RN

Qualifications

• Must have ER RN experience.
• BSN or higher is required or to be obtained within 3 years of hire/transfer.
• Current RN license in the practicing state or compact license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with management.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support staff training, interviewing, and performance evaluations, and address disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manage inventory and supplies; facilitate a safe, patient-first environment.
