You will coordinate a patient-focused team and provide direct and collaborative care across the life span, using the nursing process with sensitivity to diverse cultural needs. Responsibilities include prioritizing patient needs, monitoring status, communicating with patients, families and staff, administering medications on time, and performing venipuncture/IV

Qualifications

• Active NYS RN license.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Identify immediate and long-range plans for patient care with patient and family.
• Set priorities for patient needs, making judgments reflecting sound clinical reasoning.
• Monitor the patient’s status for significant change.
• Communicate clearly with patient, family, physicians, and team members to meet needs.
• Safely administer medications on time per hospital policies.
• Perform venipuncture and start IV lines safely.
