Job summary

The RN will assess pain, perform ordered procedures, document care, educate patients and families, and participate in ongoing professional initiatives to advance nursing practice and hospital performance.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric or ENPC/APLS documented within specified timelines.
• BLS/CPR current at start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and documents care.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures.
