Job summary

Methodist New Braunfels Free Standing Emergency Room seeks an experienced ER Registered Nurse for full-time night shift. You’ll have staffing support, advanced technology, and resources to provide safe, high-quality care while focusing on what you do best.

The RN coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, utilizing established nursing models to Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

Qualifications

• RN coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements.
• Collaborates with medical providers and care team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Uses established nursing models to Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
• Advocates for patients/families and upholds the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered and document care in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
• Explain non-medical follow-up measures, such as diet and exercise.

Education

RN license or equivalent

Associate Degree in Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Registered Nurse Diploma

ACLS certificate

BLS certification

PALS certification

ENPC certification
