Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse for night shift duties in the Emergency Department. The role requires MA nursing licensure, BLS, and a strong patient-care focus. Night shifts, non-exempt status, and competitive benefits are offered.

As part of the team, you will manage patient care from admission to discharge, coordinate plans, and collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to ensure safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN.
• BSN degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process from admission to discharge for patient care.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develop and coordinate care plans including discharge planning.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegate appropriately per competency and job description.
• Document patient care per procedure.
• Educate patient/family and document education plans.
• Ensure quality and continuity of care through collaboration.
