Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.

• BLS certification required; ACLS as per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge.
• Perform patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develop and coordinate care plans including discharge planning.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Delegate tasks appropriately within competency and job description.
• Document patient care according to procedures.
• Educate patients and families; document education plans.
• Coordinate with other health professionals to ensure quality care.
• Administer medications, perform treatments and operate equipment per policy.
• Support Nursing Governance activities and professional growth.
• Engage in performance improvement and daily quality initiatives.
