Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Emergency Department assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role performs bedside care in a high-volume ED, monitors patient condition and acuity, assists with IV therapy and blood draws, and collaborates with RNs and physicians.

A 12-week assignment with days and nights shifts is offered. Required qualifications include an LPN/LVN license, a high school diploma or equivalent, IV and BW certifications, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license required.
• IV certification and BW certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
