Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Emergency Department position in Lewiston, Maine. The LPN will provide bedside care in a high-volume ED, monitor vital signs, assist with medications, IV therapy, blood draws, and collaborate with RNs and physicians.

The assignment is 12 weeks with weekly pay. Requirements include LPN/LVN licensure, IV and BW certifications, current BLS, and ED experience. Shift availability includes Days & Nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One year ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
