Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an Emergency Department assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This 12-week temporary role offers day and night shifts and a competitive weekly pay.
Responsibilities include bedside care in a high-volume ED, monitoring vitals, assisting with meds and IVs, supporting triage and emergency interventions, and documenting care in EMR/EHR. Requires ED experience and valid LPN/LVN license.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- One year ED experience required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
- Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes.
- Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
- Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols.
- Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
- Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
