Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 12-week assignment in the Emergency Department. The position is based in Lewiston, Maine, with day and night shifts available.

You will provide bedside care in a fast-paced ED, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team. Candidates must hold an LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certifications, current BLS, and ED experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or LVN required.
• IV and BW certifications required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One year ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vital signs and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration and IV therapy.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
