Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 12-week Emergency Department assignment. Shifts are days & nights, offering a high-volume ED environment with bedside care responsibilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals and patient condition, administering meds, IV therapy and blood draws, assisting with trauma, triage and interventions, and documenting care in EMR/EHR systems.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN license required.
• IV certification and BW certification required.
• BLS certification current or on hire.
• Minimum 1 year ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
• Monitor vital signs, patient condition, and acuity changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support trauma, triage, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and care teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ED protocols.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
