Job summary

Complete Care is hiring a Patient Access Specialist for our Camp Bowie, TX freestanding emergency room. This role handles patient registration, insurance verification, and front desk duties, serving as the first point of contact for emergency care.

You will operate in a fast-paced ER setting with a focus on accurate data entry and patient experience. The ideal candidate has medical front desk or insurance verification experience, strong communication skills, and is available for night shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of medical insurance verification experience.
• 2-3 years of medical customer service or front desk experience.
• Experience with EMR or EPM systems and MS Office.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Night, weekend, and holiday availability.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and complete check in, registration, and front desk duties
• Complete medical insurance verification, eligibility checks, and demographic entry
• Communicate with patients and families during high stress situations
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR or EPM system
• Coordinate paperwork and collaborate with clinical teams for smooth patient flow
• Manage phone calls, patient questions, and follow up needs
• Maintain a professional, organized front desk environment
